Referrals
Referrals of child and family protection cases to the CFPS are
made from various individuals and agencies involved in child
and family protection. Agency referrals include those of Family
and Child Protection Unit (FCPU) of Maldives Police Service,
Family Protection Unit (FPU) in Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital
and other government offices agencies and NGO’s.
When cases are referred, an intake form is filled out and a
case worker is assigned for the particular case, in a case allocation
meeting.
Public reporting and contribution is of immense value in carrying
on with our work protecting the children and families. Referrals
can be made in writing, by coming to the Ministry of Gender and
Family and via telephone. Referrals could also be made anonymously
and will be kept confidential. |
