ESTABLISHMENT OF SAFE PLAY AREAS CONCEPT
• Community congestion has resulted in limited space for children to play or have their own space from adults.
• Play is particularly beneficial in the aftermath of a disaster in the rehabilitation of children and integration of children in to ‘host’ communities. It is recommended that “safe play areas” be established in the affected populations as an intervention to achieve the mentioned benefits.
