The ministry requires a Project Assistant to support the ministry staff in coordinating and monitoring the UNICEF projects under the Child Protection and Adolescents Livelihood programme

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. Assisting in collecting the necessary information and prepare budget forms and other financial documents required by UNICEF.
2. Locate the documents and other resources the programme officers need to carry out the UNICEF projects.
3. Arrange meetings with stakeholders and other relevant organizations required to carry out the UNICEF projects.
4. Maintain records of meetings attended and information exchanged.
5. Assist in coordinating the correspondences between the UNICEF and Ministry of Gender and Family regarding the UNICEF projects.

Duration: 9 months (April – Dec, 2007)

Minimum qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree
• Expertise in the field of accounts or related field.
• Language expertise both in English and Dhivehi
• Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

The project assistant will be based at the Ministry of Gender and Family and work under their supervision. A monthly salary of MRf 6000/- would be paid on submission of the monthly report.
